Joseph B. Wherley Dies Monday

A Table Grove man, Joseph Burgard Wherley, 76, collapsed Monday evening in Murphy Memorial Home in Canton where he had gone to view the body of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Bonnie Wherley. He died at 8:05 p.m. in the Graham Hospital.

Mr. Wherley, a retired farmer, was born at Astoria on Aug. 23, 1888, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wherley. He was married Sept. 19, 1910, at Astoria, to Mabel Emig, who died in 1959.

Surviving are four sons, Morland, Detroit, Mich.; Robert, Table Grove; Charles, Ipava; and Joseph J., Royersford, Pa.; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and four brothers, John, Canton; Homer and Ralph, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Pius, Macomb.

Kost Memorial Home at Vermont is in charge of funeral arrangements.
