She was born Dec. 12, 1909, in Blackwell, Okla., a daughter of Ross and Lena Alice Shawver Tyler. She married Russell Thompson on June 2, 1928, in Macomb. He died July 11, 1981.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Thurnell and Ruby Thomas; and two brothers, Les and Parry Tyler.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Derry of Astoria and Barbara (and Carrol) Taylor of Lewistown; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Summum Christian Church and the U Go I Go Club of Astoria.
She was a homemaker.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Burial was in Summum Cemetery.
