Ruby Maude Tyler Thomas, 79, died of complications following heart surgery at 7:38 p.m. Oct. 21, 2002, in Elkhart, Ind., at General Hospital.
She was born Dec. 20, 1922, in Canton, a daughter of Parley R. and Lena Shawver Tyler.
Surviving are a sister, Velma Thompson of Astoria; and two nieces, Shirley Derry of Astoria, and Barbara Taylor of Lewistown.
A funeral home in Elkhart, Ind., was in charge of arrangements.
