Perry R. Tyler Of Murray, Ky. Dies

Perry R. Tyler, 64, of Murray, Ky., died Tuesday, June 3, 1980, in Murray Hospital, after a prolonged illness.

He was born Jan. 8, 1916, in LaVerne, Okla., the son of Ross and Helena Alice (Shawver) Tyler. He married Elsie Steffen Dec. 20, 1946 in Chicago. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Richard D. of Des Plaines and Danny M. of Rootstown, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Kristen) Forward of Elk Grove; one grandson, Jeffrey Ryan Tyler; one brother, R. Leslie Tyler of Galesburg; three sisters, Mrs. Russell J. (Velma) Thompson of Astoria, Mrs. J. G. Thomas (Ruby) of Elkhart, Ind., and Mrs. Tenney Thunnel (Bonnie Jane) of West Covina, Calif.; and his stepfather, A. J. Kahnert of Lyons, Kans.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Blackwell, Okla.

Private funeral services were held at Murray, Ky., on Saturday, June 7.

He formerly lived in the Astoria vicinity several years ago.
