REX G. TINGLEY

VeteranRex G. Tingley Of Macomb Dies

Rex G. Tingley, 62, of rural Macomb, died at 8:28 a.m. Sunday, June 14, 1987, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

He was born March 11, 1925 in McDonough County, a son of Claude and Mary France Tingley. He married Helen Mason Feb. 15, 1947. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Thomas Tingley of Twentynine Palms, Calif., Larry Tingley of Alexis, and Gregory and Randy Tingley, both of Macomb; two daughters, Mrs. Susan Demott of Macomb and Mrs. Janet Nicholas of Colchester; 14 grandchildren; four brothers, Wendell Tingley of Colorado Springs, Colo., Merle Tingley of Vermont, Ted Tingley of Brentwood, Tenn., and Gale Tingley of Garden Grove, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Martin of Macomb and Mrs. Barbara Smith of Muncie, Ind.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Carol.

Mr. Tingley was a member of the Macomb Moose Lodge and Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1921. He had been a truck driver for Wayland Ready Mix for 18 years.

Funeral services were to be held at 10:30 a.m. this morning at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home in Macomb with Dan Rebman officiating. Burial will be in the Vermont Cemetery.
