Gale TingleyGale Tingley, 84, of Zillah, Wash., died March 1, 2018.

He was born March 21, 1933, in Macomb, a son of Mary and Claude Tingley. He married Louise Dolly on Oct. 2, 1954. She survives.

Also surviving are one brother, Ted Tingley; three children, Terry Tingley, Janine Tingley Fernandez and Jeff Tingley; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He grew up in the Vermont area and graduated from VIT High School in 1951. He joined the U.S. Navy in September, 1951.

He worked on the Apollo and Gemini Space Craft at Lockheed Martin in St. Louis for several years. While in the Navy, he served in the Korean War and was on the Aircraft Carrier and a Mine Sweeper. He was discharged from the Navy in September, 1955.

He donated his body to University of Idaho/Washington State University WWAMI Program for medical studies.

Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse, Wash., was in charge of arrangements.
