Helen L. Tingley, 70, of Macomb, died at 4:56 p.m. Friday, July 30, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Silas and Gladys Johnson Mason. She married Rex G. Tingley on Feb. 15, 1947. He died June 14, 1984.
One brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas of Anna, Larry of Blandinsville, Gregory of Macomb and Randy of Table Grove; two daughters, Susan Bopp of Bushnell and Janet Nicholas of West Frankfort; one brother, William Mason of Macomb; one sister, Mayme Phillips of Adair; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Macomb Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
She was retired from the Macomb School District and had worked at the Everly House.
Graveside services were held Tuesday at Vermont Cemetery in Vermont with Rev. Ron Green officiating. Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
