Mrs. Annie S. Trayner, 92, Dies In Her Home

Mrs. Annie S. Trayner, 92, died at 9 a.m. Saturday in her home in the southeast part of town, following an illness of eight years.

Born April 6, 1862, near Hanover, Pa., she was a daughter of Jesse and Katherine (Schaffer) Danner. On Dec. 29, 1885, she was married to James Trayner, who died April 10, 1947. Mrs. Trayner was a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Farie Pettigrew, who lived in the Trayner home and cared for her sister during her illness; a brother William S. Danner of Astoria, and several nieces and nephews also survive. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Astoria Church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. Paul C. Lantis. Burial in Woodland cemetery.
