Mrs. Farie Pettigrew, 83, a resident of Astoria for the past 20 years, died late Saturday evening at Schmitt Memorial Hospital in Beardstown. She had been ill for the past four years.
Mrs. Pettigrew was born July 12, 1880, near Astoria, a daughter of Jesse and Catherine Shaffer Danner. On Nov. 7, 1897, she was married to James Pettigrew who preceded her in death.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Shawgo Memorial Home with Rev. Elmer Dadisman officiating. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.
