Jesse S. Danner was born in York Co., Pennsylvania, August 30, 1835. Died May 26, 1909, aged 73 years, 9 months and 26 days. He was married to Miss Cathrine Schaeffer August 28, 1858. To this union was born seven children, one of whom preceded him to the spirit world. Those of his family still living besides his wife are: Samuel S., William, Cassie, Benjamin and Mrs. Annie Trayner, of Astoria, Ill., and Mrs. J. R. Pettigrew, of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mr. Danner removed to Illinois from Pennsylvania in 1865 and has always resided on the same homestead with the exception of one year.
Mr. Danner was a member of the Church of the Brethren and was a devoted christian, beloved by all who knew him. He was a man highly esteemed in this community where he had resided for so many years.
