Wilson Stambaugh Dies At Age 65

Wilson J. Stambaugh, 65, of rural Astoria, died at 4:02 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1980, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital, Rushville.

Mr. Stambaugh was a farmer.

He was born June 4, 1914, a son of Harvey and Fannie Bowman Stambaugh and married Fern M. Hopping at Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Oct. 17, 1938.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Virgil and Stanley, and one daughter, Mrs. Arletta Bollinger, all of Astoria; seven grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Cocklin of Muscatine, Iowa.

Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Astoria Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Lester Burgard and Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
