Mrs. Harve Stambaugh Dies At Home Of Son

Mrs. Harve Stambaugh passed away Tuesday at the home of her son William Stambaugh and wife of Vermont, following several years illness.

Fanny Bowman was born Nov. 11, 1883, a daughter of Ezra and Kathryn Sweigard Bowman in Astoria township.

On August 22, 1909, she was united in marriage to Harvey Stambaugh, who survives, together with following children: Mrs. Mae Cunningham and Robert Stambaugh of Canton, William Stambaugh of Vermont, Wilson Stambaugh, Astoria, and Mrs. Lydia Cocklin, Letts, Iowa. Also nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Ruth Bowman, Ft. Lupton, Colo., Mrs. Ada Gibble and Joe and Oliver Bowman of Astoria.

She was a lifelong resident of Astoria and a member of the Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Horton Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Paul C. Lantis. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Garden cemetery, Canton.
