Fern M. Stambaugh, 80, of Astoria, died at 9:07 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 1999, at her home.
She was born April 15, 1919, in Ellisville, a daughter of Sherman and Etta V. Malott Hopping. She married Wilson Stambaugh on Oct. 17, 1938, in Trenton, Iowa. He died on Jan. 23, 1980.
One son, Stanley, one sister and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Virgil of Astoria; one daughter, Arletta Bollinger of Astoria; seven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Services were held today at 11 a.m. at Astoria Church of the Brethren with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Cass-Schuyler Hospice Program.
