Dwight E. Snowden Dies At Age 39

Dwight E. Snowden, 39, of 606 S. Albert St., Macomb, died Tuesday, June 9, at his home. He had been in poor health with a heart ailment for several years, and was scheduled for surgery on the 25th of this month.

Mr. Snowden was born March 15, 1931, near Vermont, a son of Otis and Nellie Miller Snowden. He has resided in Macomb for the past nine years. On Sept. 22, 1957, he married Carol Woods, who survives.

He was a salesman for the Rural Equipment Company and was a member of the Maple Avenue Christian Church, where he served as a deacon.

Surviving in addition to his widow are his mother of Vermont; one son, Thomas Lee, at home, and seven brothers, Edmund and Don, both of Vermont, Eldon of Macomb, Dave of Alexandria, Va., Devere of Table Grove, Wendell in Korea and Larry of Farmington. Preceding him in death were his father, one son in infancy and one brother, Dale.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb, with burial in Vermont Cemetery.
