Otis G. Snowden Of Vermont Dies

Otis G. Snowden, 70, of RR, Vermont, died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday morning at his home.

Mr. Snowden was born Jan. 31, 1899, in Eldorado Township to Woodrow and Mary Lee Alley Snowden. He married Nellie Rachel Miller in Macomb on Feb. 24, 1917. She survives.

He was a lifetime resident of Eldorado Township and was engaged in farming. He was the highway road commissioner for the township for 31 years. He was a 30-year member of the Farm Bureau and was a director of the Federal Land Bank in Macomb.

In addition to his widow he is survived by eight sons, Edmund and Don of Vermont, Eldon and Dwight of Macomb, David of Alexandria, Va., Devere of Table Grove, Wendell in Korea and Larry of Farmington; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dale, who was killed in World War II.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the United Methodist Church in Vermont with Rev. E. L. Dunavin officiating. Burial was in the Vermont Cemetery.
