Mrs. Sarah Samuells Of Summum Taken By Death

Mrs. Sarah Samuells, 79, died early Saturday morning at her home in Summum following a year's illness.

Born in Ravanna, Mo., in 1858, a daughter of Chester and Mary Beadles, she was married in 1874 to Andrew B. Samuells, who died several years ago. Children are: Mrs. Nancy Baumgartner of Summum, Mrs. Bernice Howe, Havana, Mrs. Martha Valentine, Pleasantview, and Robert, at home.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Summum Christian church, of which she was a member, the Rev. L. A. Brown in charge. Burial in Summum cemetery.

[Laura's note: Her obituary was published with her last name spelled "Samuells", but in most other places I have seen her family members listed, they spelled it "Samuell", so that is how I have indexed it. That is also how it is spelled on the family tombstone. ALSO: I believe there may be a typo in the above-listed obituary as originally published - her parents were probably Chester and Mary Beadles Cousins.
