Mrs. Martha Valentine Rushville, Died Suddenly

Mrs. Don Valentine, 63, wife of the assessor of Woodstock township, Schuyler county, and former school teacher, died suddenly at 5:10 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

She had attended the sale of household goods conducted by Mrs. H. F. Ferrell, widow of the Presbyterian minister and had made a purchase at the sale. When she went to pay the clerk of the sale, she collapsed and died within a few minutes.

Mrs. Valentine was born June 16, 1892 in Mason county, a daughter of Andrew and Sarah Cousins Samuel. She taught school in Fulton county and later in Schuyler county also.

She was married to Don Valentine who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Robert Samuel of Ipava, and two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Howe of Havana and Mrs. Nancy Baumgartner of Summum.

The funeral services were held in the Voorhees Funeral Home, Rushville, Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Leroy Cronkhite. Burial was in the Summum cemetery.
