Wayne J. Robertson, 78, of Lansing, Mich., formerly of Browning, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Michigan Capitol Medical Center-Greenlawn Campus in Lansing.

He was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Browning, a son of Fred and Ethel McFetridge Robertson. He married Elsie Brasher. She survives.

Also surviving are one step-daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Doreen) Wethy of Dimondale, Mich.; one stepson, Ray Hoose of Dimondale; four brothers, Keith of Gardner, Maine, Guy and Clarence, both of Browning, and J.C. of Beardstown; one sister, Maude Leighton of Canton; seven step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a foreman of a paint crew for the Burlington Northern Railroad before retiring. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving under Gen. George S. Patton during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a former member of the Beardstown Moose Lodge and the Metropolis American Legion Post.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Browning Cemetery with Rev. Jim Shirley officiating. Wood-Roby Funeral Chapel in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
