Mrs. Ethel Robertson Of Browning Dies

Mrs. Ethel Robertson, 87, of Browning, died at 11:40 a.m. Sunday at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan. 8.

She was born in Frederick Dec. 10, 1882, a daughter of Theodore and Amanda Spiller McFetridge, and was married April 3, 1900, in Rushville, to Fred Robertson. He died in September, 1959.

Surviving are six sons, Willard, Clarence and Guy Robertson, all of Browning, J. C. Robertson of Beardstown, Wayne Robertson of Metropolis and Keith Robertson of North Monmouth, Maine; two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Young and Mrs. Maude Leighton, both of Canton; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Himmel of Browning and Mrs. George Meyers of Las Vegas, Nev., and one brother, Curry McFetridge of Astoria. Three sons and two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Robertson was a member of First Christian Church of Browning and of its Ladies Aid Society.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church with Rev. James Shirley officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
