Keith RobertsonKeith M. Robertson, 87, of Browning died at 6:35 p.m. Nov. 17, 2006, at Heritage Manor South Nursing Home in Beardstown.

He was born May 20, 1919, in Browning, a son of Fred and Ethel McFetridge Robertson. He married Freda Bragdon on March 23, 1949. She died Sept. 16, 1974.

Also preceding him in death were eight brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are three sons, Mark of Greene, Mass., Bruce of Gulf Port, Fla., and Jeffrey of Livermore Falls, Mass.; one daughter, Ethelene Thompson of Manchester, Mass.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from July 1931 to June 1945. He received six overseas service bars in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater.

He worked for the Carlton Woolen Mill in Winthrop, Mass., and the state of Maine before retiring.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #40 and VFW Post #9526, both in Winthrop, Mass.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Browning Cemetery with Mr. John Ruppel officiating. Military rites were accorded by the U.S. Army and Schuyler Post #4 American Legion. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville was in charge of arrangements.
