GALE “MAX” PRATHER

Max Prather

Max Prather, 74, of Rushville died at 2:37 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, a son of Clifford and Elvere Lancaster Prather. He married Eleanor Trimpe on Jan. 19, 1957, in Havana. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Nancy (and Steve) LeMaster of Littleton; one son, Mark (and Patty) of Rushville; four brothers, Gene of Huntsville, Don and Jim, both of Rushville, and Howard of Littleton; and three grandchildren.

His parents; his stepmother, Florence; one brother; and two sisters preceded him in death.

A member of Schuyler County Farm Bureau, he farmed in Schuyler County all his life.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rushville.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening. Rev. Joseph Eckman will officiate. Burial will be in Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to his church or to Astoria Assembly of God Church.
