He was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Rushville, the son of Gale “Max” and Eleanor Louise Trimpe Prather. He married Patty Stambaugh on March 29, 1991, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Joseph Prather of Rushville; one sister, Nancy (and Steve) LeMaster of Littleton; two aunts, Joyce Prather and Glenna Prather; one uncle, Larry Trimpe; one niece, Stephanie LeMaster; one nephew, Nicholas (and Kelsey) LeMaster; and several cousins.
He was a member of Rushville Nazarene Church and the Schuyler County Farm Bureau. He was a former member of Rushville Assembly of God Church. He was a life-long farmer.
Private graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Rushville City Cemetery with Mr. David Haney and Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. There will be calling hours from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville.
