Bernice E. McCormick, 87, of Lewistown died at 5:50 p.m. Aug. 16, 2006, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born March 9, 1919, at Colchester, a daughter of Roy B. and Cora Grimm Allen. She married Gerald D. McCormick on June 3, 1942, in Sault Saint Marie, Mich. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Larry (and Roberta) of rural Lewistown; three brothers, Burley Allen of Galesburg, Bernard Allen of Adair and Bill Allen of Macomb; one sister, Beatrice (and Ralph) Farr of Table Grove; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Bayne Allen; and two sisters, Beulah Russell and Bernita Branson.
She was a graduate of Table Grove High School. She was employed by the USDA Fulton County office for 32 years, retiring in 1983.
Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Danie DeBeer officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
