Hale F. McCormick, 86, of rural Vermont died at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born June 20, 1914, in Oakland Township, Schuyler County, the son of Willis K. and Lillian Easley McCormick. He married Mary June Bucy on March 12, 1954, in Ipava. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brian of Vermont; one daughter, Tammie Blindt of Vermont; one stepson, Gary Counselman of Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Ramona Alvadj of Champaign; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one stepson, Ed Counselman, and two sisters, Pauline Kirkbride and Amy Smith.
He farmed in Oakland Township all his life.
Services were held Tuesday at Vermont United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery. Kost Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
