Ramona B. Alvadj, 94, of Champaign died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.
She was born July 18, 1908, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Willis and Lillian Easley McCormick. She married Joseph Alvadj on Aug. 11, 1933, in Fort Sheridan. He died Feb. 12, 1998.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter; one grandson; two sisters, Amy Smith and Pauline Kirkbride; and one brother, Hale McCormick.
Surviving are two sons, Gordon of Niceville, Fla., and Preston of Champaign; two daughters, Jobyna Logue of Champaign and Bev Geroux of Waukesha, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was a 30-year member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Owens Funeral Home in Champaign.
