Dale Hammack

Dale Hammack, 70, of Astoria died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at his residence.

He was born April 9, 1931, in Fulton County, a son of Scott W. and Lela E. Hampton Hammack. He married Rosalind B. Everhart on Nov. 18, 1978, in Chandlerville. She survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Marvin (and Sue Ann) of Browning, David (and Juanita) of Havana and Raymond (and Jackie) of Astoria; two stepsons, David (and Irma) Otto of Girard and Cecil (and Margie) Otto of Chandlerville; one stepdaughter, Delores (and Rodney) Bailey of Summum; three brothers, Doyle of Havana, Donald (and Ruby) of Ipava and Douglas of Meredosia; 10 grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one stepson, Tim Hollis, two brothers and one sister.

He was a farmer and a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau. He also had worked for Bader and Co. in Vermont for three years, for Dana Corp. in Havana for 4 years and for Mason County Drainage District for more than 20 years.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Cliff Parry officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.
