BETTE MARIE (PARRY) GEIMAN GEIMAN OLSON

Bette Geiman

Bette Marie Parry Geiman, 83, formerly of Vermont, died at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Havana Healthcare Center, where she was a resident.

She was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Astoria, a daughter of Edward and Cora Danner Parry. She married Edward Geiman in 1935 in Baltimore. He died in 1956. She married Charles Joseph Geiman in 1957 in Bristol, Tenn. He died Jan. 7, 1981.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Audrey Huston; two brothers, Marshall and Floyd Parry; and one sister, Velma Carey.

Surviving are three daughters, Marie Hickle and Margaret (and Raymond) White, both of Vermont, and Linda (and Rodney) White of Havana; one son, Stephen (and Marsha) of Manito; one sister, Mildred Lannery of Ipava; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She worked at an aircraft plant in Maryland during World War II. She later worked for Bemis Bag Co. in Peoria and last was a certified nurse's aide at Clarytona Manor in Lewistown and for home health services for several years.

She attended Abundant Life Church in Manito.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Vince French officiating. Burial was in South Fulton Cemetery in Astoria.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
