STEPHEN E. “BUTCH” GEIMAN

Stephen Geiman

Stephen E. "Butch" Geiman, 63, of Vermont, died at 6:46 a.m. May 18, 2011, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Beardstown, the son of William Edward Louis and Bette Marie Parry Geiman. He married Marsha Utter on May 15, 1971, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Shawn Geiman of Vermont; one daughter, Nickie (and Philip) Hensley of Beardstown; three sisters, Marie Hickle and Margaret White, both of Vermont, and Linda (and Rodney) White of Topeka; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Marie Geiman; and one sister, Audrey Lorraine Huston.

He worked as a molder at Vermont Foundry and Tennessee Foundry. He also worked at Burgett Glove Factory and Pierre Marquette Hotel, both in Peoria.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Gary Shultz officiating. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
