ERNEST ROLAND “BREEZY” FAIRBURN

Ernest Fairburn

Ernest Roland “Breezy” Fairburn of Springville, Tenn., died June 3, 2007, at the Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, Tenn.

He was born June 29, 1924, in Canton, a son of Terrance A. “Tom” and Nellie Pearl Weaver Fairburn.

Surviving are two daughters, Terry Lee Fairburn and Mary Sue Fairburn; one brother, Delbert Fairburn of Astoria; and one sister, Marie Hallam of Canton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucille Lingenfelter and Leona Boyer; and three brothers, Carlos Dwayne, Bernard Merle and Hubert W. (and his companion, Verla Layton), with whom he resided.

He grew up in Canton, later living in Peoria and Tremont, before moving to Tennessee in 1979. Mr. Fairburn was a retired construction worker, last employed by Cullinane Construction of Tremont.

Cremation rites were performed as Mr. Fairburn requested. A memorial service will be held in Paris at a later date.
