Mrs. Lucile Friday Dies In Springfield

Mrs. Lucile Friday, 63, of Pleasant View, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 1980, in Memorial Medical Center at Springfield.

She was born Aug. 31, 1916, in Rushville, a daughter of John and Elizabeth (Band) Van Order. She married Clifford Friday in 1933 at Mount Sterling. He preceded her in death on October 1978.

Surviving are six sons, Harold, Russell and Clifford “Pete”, all of Pleasant View, Donald of Peoria, Wayne of Bluff Springs and James, who is serving with the United States Navy at National City, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. LaVern (Anna) Robbins of Rushville, Mrs. Donald (Ruby) Hammack of Ipava, Mrs. Douglas (Garnet) Hammack of Pleasant View and Mrs. William (Millie) Ren of Farmington; 21 grandchildren and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Dorrie Anderson and Mrs. Dorothy Bowman, both of Beardstown.

Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday in the Kline Funeral Home at Beardstown. Burial was in Ripley Cemetery.
