Loren DannerLoren Dean Danner, 79, of Canton died at 5:35 p.m. Oct. 9, 2012, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Astoria, a son of Lester and Lola Shawgo Danner. He first married Glenda Lancaster of Astoria, who preceded him in death in 2001. He later married Catherine "Dottie" Sebree on Dec. 27, 2006, in Vian, Okla. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Marty Danner of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Stacy Danner of Vian, Okla.; two brothers, Bill Danner of Astoria and Tuffy Danner of Rushville; two sisters, Willadean Shafer and Estyl McCombs, both of Astoria; three stepchildren, Debra Cassel, Mark Sebree and Kathy Gorsuch; four grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren.

He was a coal miner with AMAX Coal Company.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Canton and Freewill Baptist Church of Vian, Okla. He also was a member of American Legion Post 25 in Astoria.

Services were held Friday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton with Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Oct. 16, at Vian Cemetery Garden of Memories with military honors.
