Mary Clayton, 91, of Astoria, died at 8 a.m. Monday, March 3, 1997, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born April 1, 1905, in Fulton County, a daughter of Phillip N. and Nellie Shaw Crable. She married Leroy P. “Roy” Clayton on Nov. 21, 1925, in Rushville. He died Sept. 28, 1996. She also was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, one son and one grandson.
Surviving are three sons, Gerald Clayton of Browning, Delbert Clayton of Astoria and Cecil Clayton of Canton; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Astoria Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the memorial home. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to her church or Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
