Delbert ClaytonDelbert O. Clayton, 93, of Havana died June 3, 2022, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg.

He was born March 11, 1929, in Bluff City, Schuyler County, a son of LeRoy and Mary Crable Clayton. He married Deloras “Dorey” Ray on Sept. 9, 1956. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2011.

He also was preceded in death by three siblings, Gerald, Cecil and Allen.

Surviving are one daughter, Lori (and Dennis) Morgan of Havana; one son, Logan (and Liz) Clayton of Auburn; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was a Korean War veteran serving in the Army and was a member of the Astoria Legion Post #25. He retired from the Ohio River Company and later worked construction.

He also was a member of Havana Church of Christ.

A funeral service was held Monday at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with Pastor Bill Boyce officiating. Burial was at Hickory Cemetery in Fulton County.

Memorials may be made in Delbert’s name to the Havana Church of Christ or donor’s choice.
