She was born May 28, 1922, in Astoria, a daughter of Thomas E. and Grace L. Long Howe.
Surviving are one daughter, Jill Brecher of Orlando; one brother, Charles (and Nina) Howe of Lewistown; one sister, Onilee (and William) Merrill of Astoria; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy Bucher; two brothers Herbert and Max Howe; and three sisters, Pierapont Howe, June Scott and Winifred Howe.
She had worked at Abingdon Industries.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. at Astoria Cemetery with Gary Sheets officiating.
