Elaine R. Bulmer, 94, of Phoenix, formerly of Ipava, died at 3:29 a.m. Monday, March 15, 1999, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.
She was born Aug. 20, 1904, in Stavely, England, a daughter of John and Emily Tuff Rimington. She married Wilfred S. Bulmer on Jan. 6, 1934, in Michigan. He died March 15, 1980. Two sons, one daughter, one great-granddaughter, one great-grandson and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Frederick of Washington, William of Rowland Heights, Calif., and John of Las Vegas; four daughters, Emily McKim of Edwards, Sally Atwater of Ipava, Elaine Brown of Glendale, Ariz., and Ernestine Conley of Elko, Nev.; three brothers, Edwin Rimington of Ipava, Robert Rimington of Freeport and Fred Rimington of Lena; two sisters, Annice Rimington and Mary Northcutt, both of Peoria; 31 grandchildren; and 57 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Ipava American Legion Auxiliary, St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Glendale, Ariz., and was a former member of St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown.
A memorial service was held this morning at the church in Lewistown with Rev. Michael McKinnon officiating. Burial of cremains was in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Arrangements were by Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava.
Memorials may be made to the church in Lewistown or the American Heart Association.
