Fred BulmerFred B. Bulmer, 75, of Washington died at 8:58 p.m. March 30, 2019, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born June 8, 1943, in Detroit, Mich., a son of Wilfred Samuel and Elaine Rimington Bulmer. He married Carolyn Kay Burgett in Vermont on June 14, 1964. She preceded him in death on March 28, 2016.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur Johnson and Andy Bulmer; and two sisters, Elaine Brown and Jeannette Johnston.

Surviving are two sons, Todd (and Renee) Bulmer and Brian Bulmer; five siblings, William (and Sonia) Bulmer, Ernestine Conley, Emily (and Paul) McKim, John (and Melinda) Bulmer and Sally Atwater; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a United States Navy Veteran. He worked as a data processor at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Creve Coeur Christian Church with pastors Bill Holley and John Plunkett officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, Ill., and also 30 minutes before the service on Friday at the church. Burial with military honors will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.

Memorials may be made to the Dementia Society of America or Central Illinois Lupus Society.
