W. S. Bulmer Dies At Age 69

W. S. “Bill” Bulmer, 69, resident of Phoenix, Ariz. the past six years and former Ipava resident, died at 4 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 15, 1980, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix.

He was born Oct. 8, 1910, at Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the son of William S. and Adele (Strand) Bulmer. He was married on Jan. 6, 1934, to Elaine Rimington Johnson. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, William S. Bulmer of Roland Heights, Calif., John E. Bulmer of Stockton, Calif., Fred B. Bulmer of Washington, Ill., and Andy O. Bulmer of Galt, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Elaine A. Brown of Glendale, Ariz., Mrs. Jeanette Johnston of Arcadia, Calif., Mrs. Emily J. McKim of Edwards, Ill., Mrs. Ernestine A. Robinson and Mrs. Sally J. Atwater, both of Ipava; one stepson, Arthur E. Johnson of Peoria; his stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Bulmer of Gary, Pa.; 31 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His parents and one brother preceded him in death.

Mr. Bulmer was a retired coal miner. He worked at the Buckheart Mine near Canton, retiring in 1973.

Memorial services were held Tuesday evening, Mar. 18, in Phoenix.

Memorial services will be held in St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown on a date to be announced later. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Memorial Fund.

Memorial Service Held Yesterday

A memorial service for W. S. “Bill” Bulmer, 69, who died March 15, 1980 in Phoenix, Ariz., was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Episcopal Church at Lewistown.

Rev. Robert B. Meyer officiated and burial was in Springdale Cemetery at Peoria.

Mr. Bulmer, who was formerly of Ipava, had lived in Phoenix for the last six years.
