LEONA A. (HUMPHREY) BOLLINGER

Leona Bollinger

Leona A. Bollinger, 59, of Astoria, died at 12:08 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Peoria, a daughter of William and Marie Belville Humphrey. She married Robert E. Bollinger on Oct. 18, 1952, in Astoria. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Paula Bollinger of Astoria; four sons, Bill of Kincaid, Randy of Browning, Rick of Astoria, and Jeff of Summum; two brothers, Al Humphrey of Mount Sterling and Andy Humphrey of Peoria; four sisters, Ethel Purpich of Peoria, June Barnette of Bluff City, Emma Hamlin of Browning and Margaret Bopp of Astoria; and 20 grandchildren.

One sister preceded her in death.

She was a nurse’s aide at Astoria Healthcare Center. She was a member of Bader Christian Church in Bader.

Funeral services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. James Shirley officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
