BARBARA ANN (ROBERTSON) WICKERT

Barbara WickertBarbara A. Wickert, 76, of Glasford, died at 3:13 p.m. April 29, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Dec. 13, 1934, in Ipava, a daughter of Jasper Beryl and Hila Mae Vaughn Robertson. She married Philip E. Wickert on Nov. 22, 1952, in Adair, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 2003.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Randy Wickert; one son-in-law, Tom Chambers; two sisters, Iris Lamm and Hazel Danner; and three brothers, Philip, Clark and Bob Robertson.

Surviving are one sister, Mary J. Hummel of Bushnell; five daughters, Terri (and Herman) Gohde of Canton, Gloria Chambers and Kathleen (and Tom) Robertson, both of Glasford, Lisa (and Jeff) Harris of St. David, and Roberta (and Bernie) Kott of Greenville, N.C.; one son, Andrew Wickert of Glasford; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She worked as a cook for Illini Bluffs School District until her retirement.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #35 of Glasford.

Services were held Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Paul Cook officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery in Astoria.
