Death of Mrs. Hilda Mae Robertson

IPAVA — Mrs. Hilda Mae Robertson passed away at the Canton hospital Friday morning, after a brief illness, altho she has been in very poor health for some time. Her death was a shock to the community. She was aged 39 years, 2 months and 29 days.

Hilda Mae was the youngest daughter of Mervin and Sarah Jane Rakestraw Vaughn and was born in Ipava, July 19, 1901. She was the wife of Beryle Robertson, and the mother of seven children. She was quite a home woman, very devoted to her family and had many friends.

Surviving are her husband, four daughters and three sons, her father Mervin Vaughn, Ipava, two brothers, Guy of Ipava and Wilson of Ottumwa, Iowa, and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Sipes of near Lewistown, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral services were held form the Christian church Sunday afternoon at 1:30, Rev. E. E. Catlin officiating. Mrs. Glen Shaver sang and Miss Imogene Kimmel was the accompanist. The pallbearers were her nephews and the flower girls were the nieces. Burial was made in the Ipava cemetery.
