Gloria ChambersGloria Chambers, 72, of Canton died July 23, 2022, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Macomb, a daughter of Phillip and Iris Robertson Wickert. She married Thomas Chambers on Dec. 11, 1970, in Glasford. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2009.

She also was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Wickert; her mother, Iris Lamm; Barbara Wickert by whom she was raised; two brothers, Jacky Lamm and Randy Wickert; and one sister, Ruthie McCloskey.

Surviving are two children, Todd Chambers of Delavan and Tammy (and Mark) Kruschinsky of Ipava; two brothers, David (and Phyllis) Lamm of Ipava and Andrew (and Laura) Wickert of Delavan; four sisters, Teresa (and Herman) Gohde of Canton, Lisa (and Jeff) Harris of Webster, Wis., Kathy (and Tom Jr.) Robertson of Glasford and Roberta (and Bernie) Kott of Greenville, N.C.; five grandchildren; one step granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.

She retired from OSF St. Francis as the switch board operator.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation and inurnment will follow in Lancaster Cemetery in rural Glasford on Thursday at 11 a.m.
