Gloria R. “Ruthie” McCloskey, 65, of Ipava died at 4:07 a.m. Dec. 25, 2013, at Graham Hospital Emergency Room in Canton.
She was born April 15, 1948, in Macomb, a daughter of Jack and Margaret DeRenzy Lamm. She married Mike McCloskey on Sept. 27, 1968, in Ipava. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Bili McCloskey of Ipava; two brothers, Jack (and Karen) Lamm and David (and Phyllis) Lamm, both of Ipava; and two stepsisters, Terri (and Herman) Gohde of Canton and Gloria Chambers of Glasford.
She was a homemaker.
She was a long-time member of Ipava Christian Church where she served as a deaconess and an active member of Ipava American Legion Auxiliary where she was Sergeant of Arms.
Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Ron Jansen and Dick Fidler officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
