Ila C. Winston, 88, of Astoria, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 1996, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Sept. 23, 1907, in Browning, a daughter of Charles and Lula Seymour Weishaar. She married Charles Orlo Winston on Dec. 31, 1924, in Beardstown. He died March 25, 1988. She also was preceded in death by one daughter and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Caroline Stine of Astoria; one son, Paul Winston of Astoria; one grandson, Glen Stine of Macomb; one sister, Beulah Trone of Pekin; and three brothers, Donald, Charles and Homer Weishaar, all of Browning.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge in Vermont and the Astoria American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a member of Astoria Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Browning Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville.
