Edward “Bud” Trone, 86, of Browning died at 6:57 p.m. Nov. 19, 2015, at his daughter’s home in Quincy.

He was born May 4, 1929, in Browning Township, Schuyler County, the son of William Guy and Beulah Venters Trone. He married Evelyn Stambaugh on Nov. 13, 1948, in Rushville. She preceded him in death on Aug. 12, 2011.

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Conlee; and one daughter-in-law, Ruth Trone.

Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (and Marvin) Hoebing of Quincy and Sally Bair of Astoria; four sons, Ronnie Trone, Stephen Trone, Randall Trone and Bernard “Ace” (and Vicki) Trone, all of Browning; one sister, Betty (and Marlin) Stewart-Livers; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was a welder for the Peabody Coal Company at Pleasant View. He also farmed.

He was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 9926, Bader Christian Church and a board member of the Mount Zion School Reunion Organization.

Services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Pastor Matt Haberman officiating. Burial was in Bader Cemetery.
