VeteranW. G. Trone, Dies Veterans Hospital

William Guy Trone, well known farmer of Bader, died at the Veterans Hospital at Dwight, Sunday, where he had been taking medical treatment for a heart ailment for the past four weeks.

Mr. Trone was born at Ray, Feb. 18, 1892, a son of Edward and Sarah Trone. He was united in marriage to Beulah Venters on Oct. 15, 1922. To this union three children were born, namely, Mrs. Charlotte Conlee of Waverly, Edward Trone of Bader, and Miss Betty Ann, at home.

Mr. Trone served in the First World War and was a member of the Astoria American Legion Post No. 25.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Bader church, conducted by Rev. Loren Heller and Rev. Fred Thompson. Burial in Bader cemetery.

BADER — This community was saddened by the death of Guy Trone, which occurred Sunday night at the Veterans hospital at Dwight, Ill. Guy had been in the hospital for several weeks suffering from a severe heart ailment, and his health had failed fast this fall. His wife remained with him during his entire stay at the hospital. Guy was a life long resident of this community, except for the time he served with the armed forces in World War One. Guy was a good friend and neighbor and will be sadly missed by his family and all that knew him. Funeral services will be held at the Bader church Wednesday afternoon, Loren Heller of Lincoln, officiating.
