Geraldine Toland

Geraldine "Gerry" TolandGeraldine "Gerry" Toland, 82, of Rushville died at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at Snyder's Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.

She was born April 10, 1920, near Ray, a daughter of Alva and Freeda M. Montooth Roudebush. She married Kenneth R. Toland on Dec. 16, 1937, in Palmyra, Mo. He died May 9, 1994.

She also was preceded in death by one brother.

Surviving are one daughter, Donna (and Leo) Bollinger of Browning; two sons, Kenneth (and Joyce) and Randall (and Teresa), both of Rushville; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Louise Agans of Rushville and Betty (and Harold) Bader of Morrisonville, Wis.; and one brother, Robert (and Shirley) Roudebush of Rushville.

She and her husband owned and operated Toland Service Station for many years, where she served as the bookkeeper.

Services were held Friday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Wayne Bonser officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
