Harold R. Bader, 79, of Morrisonville, Wis., formerly of Rushville, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at his home.

He was born March 31, 1925, in Rushville, a son of Howard O. and Inez Robertson Bader. He married Betty J. Roudebush on Dec. 6, 1947, in Galesburg. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sara (and Jeff) Hemp of Poynette, Wis., and Debra (and Don) Gentile of Evergreen Park; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna (and Ed) Psinas of Manito and Esther Baxter of Kankakee.

He was preceded in death by one son, Steven; three brothers; and four sisters.

A World War II Navy veteran serving from 1944 to 1946, he was a combat aircrewman.

He founded Bader Agricultural Inc. in Morrisonville in 1957 and later formed a partnership in Free Choice Enterprises Ltd. in Milledgeville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bader Christian Church in Bader with Robert Spencer officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Bader Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria is in charge of arrangements.
