Mary E. Trone, 93, of Astoria, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born June 16, 1903, at Enion, a daughter of Lewis and Iva R. Rariden Leonard. She married Loren E. Trone on March 19, 1921, in Lewistown. He died July 30, 1973. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Freda, and one grandson.
Surviving are two daughters, Lorene Sullivan of Galesburg and Marifrances Ralston of Beardstown; one son, Charles W. Trone of Rushville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Mina Bair of Astoria.
She was a member of the Culbertson Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, where visitation will be one hour before services, with Collis Trone officiating. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.
