Glenn Thompson

Funeral services for Glenn B. Thompson, 86, of rural Astoria, who was pronounced dead at 10:28 a.m. Friday, June 9, 1995, at Anderson Lake Conservation Area in Fulton County, were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Collis Trone officiating. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Woodland Township, Fulton County, a son of James Orville and Viola Thomas Thompson. He married Velma Gould on May 25, 1930, in Astoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Max of Havana and Dean of Dunlap; one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Judy) Malott of South Vienna, Ohio; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

He was a retired coal miner. He also was a farmer.
