Gregory RumlerGregory Allen Rumler, 63, of Rock Springs, Wyo., died Aug. 21, 2020.

He was born Feb. 5, 1957, in Beardstown, a son of Larry Dean and Peggy Ann Parry Rumler of Vermont, Ill. He married Diana Jo Aten on July 5, 1976, in Ipava. She preceded him in death.

He also was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willis (and Doris) Parry and Howard (and Elva) Rumler; his parents; and one sister, Peggy LeAnn Garrett.

Surviving are one daughter, Marcy Jo Sparks of Rock Springs, Wyo.; one brother, Michael (and Marla) Rumler of Ipava; two granddaughters, Hannah Blair and Kiah Devin Sparks; six nephews; and four nieces.

He was a 1975 graduate of VIT High School in Table Grove.

He owned and operated the Golden Nugget in Vermont, Ill., worked as a welder at Ansco Construction, worked at Black Butte coal mines in Rock Springs, Wyo., was a self-employed welder and was prior owner of a jewelry store.

He requested cremation rites and no services. Burial was in Vermont Cemetery.
